Small businesses must
adapt marketing strategies to compete
The Yellow Pages have nearly been destroyed by the Internet.
Businesses are struggling to distinguish themselves from their
competitors. Business owners and managers are having to learn
new skill-sets to develop and manage their internet marketing
strategies. The bottom line is that people continue to flock to
the internet in droves.
A recent study state that about 72% of all buying decisions now
involve the internet at some point during the buying cycle
(researching, considering options, buying, confirming buying
decision, or post-sale information gathering).
Video is the key to the future of Internet marketing for
all businesses including small businesses.
eMarketer, a research firm estimates that by 2013 sales
of online video ads will grow to $4.6 billion. Last year
internet video ads hit $587 million.
A couple of months ago Internet users watched over 12
billion videos online. That was up 34% from the previous year.
It is just easier to watch a short video than to read an entire
page of text.
Many small businesses seem to be waiting for something
else to come along. Well if bringing more qualified leads to
your business isn't enough, what will you think of your
competition passing you by. If you are one of those waiting, I
encourage you to do something to get in the game now before the
window of opportunity closes.
